29th June 2022 Research on Social Workers Response to Domestic Violence and Abuse during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Congratulations to Stephanie Holt, Ruth Elliffe, Soma Gregory and Philip Curry on the publication of their research on COVID-19, domestic violence and social work practice, in the British Journal of Social Work. In collaboration with the Irish Association of Social Workers, the authors administered a survey to IASW members in late 2021 regarding their experience during lockdown of practice with families experiencing domestic violence. This article is timely given the launch yesterday by the Minister of Justice of the 3rd National Strategy on Domestic, Sexual and Gender Based Violence. The authors would like to acknowledge their appreciation for the support of the IASW in working together to ensure this important research was facilitated.
