This training is a joint event with Social Care Ireland and will equip participants with skills to optimise connection and engagement with all children. More importantly participants will look at the crucial role of play in enhancing attachment security and be in a position to support parents and caregivers in this process.


Facilitator’s Experience

Dr. Lisa O’Reilly has a PhD that focuses on Communication with Children Involved in Social Work Services and Attachment Theory. Lisa has over eleven-years experience working as frontlline child and family social worker and is now a Guardian ad Litem with Tigala, Independent Guardian ad Litem Agency. Lisa has been involved in research and the training and development of child and family practitioners for nine years. Lisa designed and wrote the TUSLA 2016 National Programme on ‘Linking Attachment Theory to Frontline Practice with children and families’. Lisa is currently engaged in attachment research for supporting child and family practitioners.
