Course Info:

The NVR programme is an evidenced, based approach, that is extremely effective in supporting Professionals/Social workers/Therapists/Residential Services/Educational/training settings+ to address behaviours that challenge. It supports the rebuilding of a new authority and presence supporting the young person to manage their behaviour in a productive and effective way. Initially it was developed as a parenting programme to address child to adult violence and abuse (CAVA) as well as self-destructive behaviours. Its success has been phenomenal, and it has been adapted to address challenges in a huge diverse range of services that are tasked with supporting young people on their life journey.

It is a relational systemic approach that values the relationship between the professionals/parents have with the child above all else.

It has been adopted to address challenges arising out of challenging behaviour is schools, Neurodiversity & Disabilities, School avoidance, Yet to Launch (highly dependent adult children), Cared for children, Self-destructive behaviours, Personal development, highly anxious children, Domestic violence etc

It gives Schools/Social services/psychotherapists other professionals/a sense of hope and a set of tools to use when the standard approaches to behaviour support are not working.
