Description of relevant experience/profile: I qualified as a Social Worker in 1987 and worked in Northern Ireland, from 1987 until 1994, as a Social Worker in both Generic Child Care and Mental Health Social Work teams. I worked in County Louth, in the Republic of Ireland, as a Social Worker and Social Work Team Leader, in a Generic Child Care Social Work team, from 1994 until 2002. I have been a Guardian Ad Litem in the Republic of Ireland from 2003 until the present day, representing the interests of children and young people in The District Court, Circuit Court and High Court, in Care Proceedings and Special Care applications.
