All students graduating in any given year will automatically move to ANNUAL (one payment) First Year Post Qualify membership in March of the following year (regardless of when they joined or when they paid the last student fee). To pay your fee in monthly instalments, the member must contact the Office Administrator before 1st March.

FULLY BOOKED Family Mediation Skills

The course has been funded by the HSCP Office, HSE. As such, places are available to social workers in the publicly funded healthcare service only.

Please do not register for the event if you are not available to participate in the full day as the programme has been developed based on 12 people participating in the whole event.

Participants will be introduced to the mediation process, the principles informing that process and the skills required for mediation. Participants through exercises/roleplay will learn how to adapt conflict management skills for use in working with families and workplace situations.

 

Siun Kearney. M.Soc.Sc., LLB., Advanced Mediator

Siun Kearney is a practising mediator since 1989.   She is a founder member of The Mediators Institute and currently sits on the board of the MII.   Siun mediates in the areas of family, workplace, elder and community.   Siun has been involved in Mediation certified training for many years and has delivered training in UCC, UCD, NUI Maynooth, Tusla and the Law Society.
