An introduction to how mindfulness (and meditation) can nourish and sustain our role as health and social care professionals.
This full day workshop will introduce the idea of how mindfulness and meditation practices can provide spaces in our days. It is these spaces that can nourish and replenish our body and minds. It is not about adding to our already top heavy days but about intertwining into our existing routines. But it is not a quick fix and it does take practice. The day will have discussion and theory but above all it will have experience of practice and also small practices which, if you choose you can begin to introduce into your lives. We hope this workshop will act as a solid starting base and an opportunity to see if this is something for you and provide the signposts to continue this journey if you choose.
The workshop will be facilitated by Niamh Bruce and is suitable for beginners and those with an existing practice in mindfulness. The workshop is interdisciplinary and will comprise HSCPs from social work, physiotherapy, social care and podiatry. If you have any questions about the workshop, please send your query to cpdofficer@iasw.ie
