The Gender Identity Skills Training (GIST) Scientific Committee is thrilled to announce its return with an informative two-day course for professionals supporting adults and young people with gender identity needs. This highly anticipated event will take place on March 5th and 6th in Kilkenny, Ireland.

In partnership with Gender Plus, a leader in holistic transgender healthcare across the UK and Ireland, this training builds on the resounding success of past GIST events. Attendees can expect cutting-edge insights, expert-led discussions, and practical strategies to enhance their understanding. 

Dr. Vanessa Lacey, member of the GIST Scientific Committee, highlighted the importance of this initiative: “As the number of individuals seeking support for gender-related concerns continues to grow, it’s vital that healthcare professionals feel equipped and confident to operate in this space. This conference aims to inform, inspire, and empower attendees, enabling them to better understand the complexities of transgender healthcare and provide compassionate, effective support to their gender diverse patients.”

  • Dr Anne Kehoe, Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Past PSI President.
