This summit is a vital opportunity for many IASW members, to learn about neuroaffirmative practices from some global leaders and to deepen their understanding of neurodiversity and how to best support neurodivergent people.

Call for Poster Presentations: We invite researchers, professionals, students and their collaborators to showcase their work through poster presentations. We are particularly interested in research projects or successful pilot initiatives that align with the Neurodiversity Movement and reflect neuroaffirmative values.  In particular we are seeking projects that are lead by or coproduced with neurodivergent people. 

Event Details:

  • Format: In-person event
  • Poster Display: A dedicated hall will be available for poster presentations on both days of the summit.
  • Attendance Flexibility: We welcome applicants who can attend for one or two days of the summit.
  • Duration: posters will be displayed both days for the full-length, with specific timing for authors to be confirmed closer to the event.

Topics of Interest:

We are seeking poster presentations that connect with one or more of the following neurodiversity themes:

  1. Neuroaffirmative Practice
  2. Neurodiversity and Girls
  3. Gestalt Language Processing and AAC
  4. Persistent Drive for Autonomy (PDA)

The summit will bring together professionals from diverse fields such as healthcare, education, and corporate environments, alongside individuals with personal experiences. We strongly encourage applications from neurodivergent individuals and those employing multimodal presentation methods (e.g., AAC, digital tools).

  • Names of authors/project leads
  • Job roles/professional background/ relevant background information 
  • Affiliate organisations 
  • A summary or abstract of your project (200 words or less)
  • An explanation of how your project, research or initiative aligns with neuroaffirmative approaches (200 words or less)

Successful applicants will have the option to purchase a reduced-rate ticket to attend the speakers and events of the summit.
