Description of relevant experience/profile:  

  • 30 years’ experience in the Irish Health Care System as a Social Work Practitioner, Team Leader, Principal Social Worker.
  • Worked with children/families in a wide variety of both rural and urban settings: medical social work, child protection & welfare, child sexual abuse assessment, medical oncology, haematology, end of life care, bereavement support, counselling, and approved guardian ad litem.
  • Attended Staff Support /Supervision Training directly provided by the late Tony Morrison. Retired from HSE in 2016.
  • Currently engaged in small private practice as a Psychotherapist /Counsellor and the provision of cross professional external Clinical Supervision.
  • Broad experience of providing Clinical Supervision /Mentoring to Social Work Practitioners and other Professionals.

Qualifications: B.SocSc (Hons) NUI, CQSW, BA Counselling and Psychotherapy, Advanced Dip. Practice Teaching UCC, Professional Certificate Children & Loss IHF/RCSI, Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision TCD
