18 Nov 24 - Launch of the Health and Social Care Professions Alliance (HSCPA) #SafeStaffingNow campaign for the upcoming General Election 2024

We are excited to announce the launch of the Health and Social Care Professions Alliance (HSCPA) #SafeStaffingNow campaign for the upcoming General Election 2024. This vital initiative calls for action to ensure safe and effective staffing levels across HSCP services – a goal that directly impacts the quality of service we provide and the future of our professions.

Attached, you will find a flyer that outlines our key campaign messages, the evidence supporting our demands, and the actions we are advocating for. But for #SafeStaffingNow to make an impact, we need your active support between no and the election.

Starting today, we encourage all IASW members to take the following steps:

  • Amplify our message online: Use the hashtag #SafeStaffingNow in your posts and tag the IASW so we can share your messages.
  • Engage with local election candidates: Start conversations about the importance of #SafeStaffingNow and share the flyer with them to reinforce our message.
  • Share the flyer widely: Print copies to keep at home, display them on community notice boards, or place them in visible locations in your service to raise awareness.
  • Spread the word on social media: Early next week, we will share campaign graphics for you to use in your posts.

Together, we can make safe staffing a key issue in this election and advocate for the changes our professions urgently need.

Your voice matters. By working together, we can ensure that the importance of safe staffing is heard loud and clear by policymakers and the public.

If you have ideas to enhance the campaign strategy or wish to share success stories of your advocacy efforts, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you for your dedication and support. Let’s make this campaign a success!
